KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib graced a breaking of fast ceremony at Masjid Al-Abyad, Matang Jaya, last Tuesday.
During the event a total of 318 recipients received Aidilfitri contributions of which the presentation was done by Tun Pehin Sri Taib and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad.
The recipients comprised the elderly, orphans, needy (asnaf), single mothers, and people with disablities with 218 of them from Tupong area and the remaining100 recipients received personal contributions from Taib.
Also present at the ceremony were Chairman of Sarawak Islamic Council Datu Haji Misnu Haji Taha who is also the chairman of Masjid Al-Abyad, Tupong Assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman and Senator Zaidi Suhadi.
