UiTM Sarawak iCEPS offers flexible pathways for career advancement

KUCHING: The Institute of Continuing Education & Professional Studies (iCEPS), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak, continues to broaden access to higher education through its flexible part-time Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree programmes designed for working adults and lifelong learners.

Structured to accommodate professional and personal commitments, the programmes enable learners to pursue recognised academic qualifications without leaving the workforce.

“The initiative supports career progression by enhancing professional competencies, improving employability, and opening pathways for promotion and role advancement across both public and private sectors,” said iCEPS Centre of Studies head Dr Azlina Bujang.

She oversees the management of iCEPS Sarawak, continuous education plays a critical role in career sustainability.

“In support of inclusive education, iCEPS also implements the Musaadah Programme under the Skim Tajaan Yuran Pengajian (TYP) @ Musaadah iCEPS, which provides fully sponsored tuition for eligible applicants enrolled in selected part-time programmes.

“The initiative aims to reduce financial constraints and enable individuals from working- and underserved communities to invest in long-term career development.”

Diploma programmes offered include Public Administration, Business Studies, Information Management, Science, Food Technology, Building Technology, Office Technology Management and Halal Management.

Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) programmes are available in Accountancy, Administrative Science, Business Technology Management, Marketing, Finance and Sports Science.

Part-time intakes are conducted twice yearly, in March and October.

“In today’s evolving job market, upgrading one’s qualifications is no longer optional but essential. iCEPS provides a practical pathway for working adults to strengthen their skills, remain competitive, and progress in their careers without sacrificing their existing responsibilities.

“iCEPS UiTM Sarawak has also recorded a strong track record in human capital development, having produced a total of 1,114 graduates to date.

“In the current year, 780 active students are enrolled across its part-time programmes, reflecting growing public confidence in iCEPS’ flexible learning model and its role in supporting career advancement and lifelong learning.”
