KUCHING: A friendly football match between UKAS and the Kuching Division Journalist Association (KDJA) brought together media practitioners and government officers for an evening of camaraderie and sportsmanship.
Held at Sarawak Stadium last night (Feb 7), the match saw both teams—UKAS in yellow and KDJA in orange—competing in a lighthearted yet spirited contest.
The event served as an opportunity for UKAS officers and journalists from KDJA to bond beyond their professional roles, fostering stronger ties through sports.
The KDJA team consisted of reporters, photographers, and editors of various media agencies such as Sarawak Tribune, Suara Sarawak, Utusan Sarawak, TVS, RTM, BERNAMA, Utusan Borneo, Borneo Post and Sin Chew Daily.
With cheers from the sidelines, players enjoyed a relaxed yet competitive atmosphere, reinforcing the importance of maintaining good relationships outside of work.
Media practitioners left the event with new memories and a stronger sense of camaraderie, hopeful for future friendly matches together.
Before kickoff, both teams took a group photo with UKAS Director Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan.
The match follows another recent friendly between UKAS and Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC), held earlier this week at Field C, Petra Jaya.
