KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar was presented with the operational uniform of the Sarawak Security and Enforcement Unit (UKPS) during a courtesy call at Astana Negeri Sarawak today.
The presentation also included several souvenirs symbolising the unit’s history and achievements.
UKPS Director Datuk Dr Chai Khin Chung said the items reflected the history of UKPS’s establishment, including accessories and memorabilia associated with the founding of the Sarawak Coast Guard.
“Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi provided valuable advice on improving law enforcement and peacekeeping efforts in Sarawak.
“He also shared guidance and insights to help UKPS enhance their operations moving forward,” he said when met after the courtesy call.
As the Inspector-General of UKPS, Wan Junaidi expressed his appreciation for the commitment, dedication, and professionalism demonstrated by the unit in carrying out enforcement duties and ensuring the safety of Sarawak.
He also conveyed his hopes for the unit to continue fulfilling its responsibilities with integrity, discipline, and determination for the well-being of the people and the security of the state.
Also present during the visit was UKPS Security Officer KP13 Abang Ahmad Abang Julai.
