“As proof of this commitment, a total of seven village heads, church chairpersons and kapitans received mock cheques amounting to RM1.45 million today,” he said when speaking at the Majlis Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat event held at Kampung Lanchang Sabai here recently.
He explained that the funds were disbursed to assist churches in initiating upgrading works on their premises.
In a related development, Sinang said the Sarawak Government has also allocated RM150 million to each elected representative in Bidayuh areas through the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA).
“This allocation is aimed at accelerating the implementation of rural infrastructure development projects in Sarawak ahead of 2030,” he added.
Following this, he expressed hope that all funds and assistance received by the community would be fully utilised for the collective well-being.
