MIRI: A total of RM215 million in grants has been disbursed by the Sarawak government to various non-Muslim bodies and houses of worship via its Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) over the past six years.

“This proves the Sarawak government’s commitment  to safeguard religious harmony and tolerance among various faiths in the state,” said Women, Childhood and Community Well-being Development Minister Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah.

She was speaking at the launching of the ‘Semarak Uniti Keluarga Malaysia’ state- level programme here on Sunday.

The programme was graced by Minister of National Unity Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique.
