KUCHING: The BEM Trinity Hub Church received a RM120,000 grant from the Sarawak Government’s Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) during a church service on Sunday.

A cheque for the amount was presented by Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang, in line with the state government’s ongoing support for religious harmony and the development of non-Muslim houses of worship across Sarawak.

According to a statement, the grant will be utilised for church development and improvement works, including upgrades to worship facilities and the implementation of programmes and activities for the congregation and the surrounding community.

Members of BEM Trinity Hub Church expressed appreciation to the Sarawak Government and UNIFOR for the assistance, noting that the contribution would help strengthen the church’s role as both a place of worship and a community hub.

The presentation reaffirmed Sarawak’s commitment to unity and mutual respect within its multicultural and multi-religious society.
