KUCHING: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) has appointed Sarawak Energy Berhad Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Sharbini Suhaili as an adjunct professor for the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering programme under the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.
Effective from Oct 1, 2025 to Sept 30, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering said the appointment underscores UNIMAS’ commitment to strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
“Datuk Sharbini’s extensive experience and expertise in the energy sector will be invaluable in enhancing industrial linkages and fostering collaborative research with UNIMAS academics,” it said in a statement posted on its social media account.
The faculty added that it looks forward to a fruitful partnership with Sharbini in advancing innovation and industry-relevant academic excellence.
