DEBAK: A village headman collapsed and died while attending a Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) Workshop organised by the Saribas State Constituency at Dewan Perpaduan, here yesterday.
The Kampung Bungin headman, identified as Baha Suai, collapsed when he was about to sit down on a chair after asking a few questions. According to those present, Baha was immediately taken to Debak Health Clinic by his friends.
However, he was pronounced de ad a t the c l ini c a round 11.40am. Earlier on, in a separate case, chairman of the Kpg Bungin Mosque Committee, Mat Nor also passed away.
Saribas State Assemblyman, Ricky @ Mohammad Razi Sitam, who was present at the opening ceremony of the workshop, expressed his sadness over the loss of two grassroot leaders who were committed in carrying out their duties as well as developing the village.He also expressed his condolences to the two bereaved families.
