BALAI RINGIN: The upgrading of Jalan Kampung Nyelitak, with an allocation of RM3.1 million, is progressing well and is expected to be completed by September 2025.

The project is part of Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak and Balai Ringin assemblyman Datuk Snowdan Lawan’s ongoing efforts to develop the area under the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government.

A recent site visit showed that construction activities were well underway, with heavy machinery, workers and building materials such as culverts already in place.

The project is expected to improve road safety and convenience for residents who rely on this route for their daily commute.

Snowdan said that infrastructure development remained a priority in ensuring the well-being of the people, particularly in rural areas such as Balai Ringin.

He also said the Sarawak government was committed to bringing more development to empower local communities.

Residents of Kampung Nyelitak have welcomed the initiative and hope the project will be completed on schedule.

They believe the upgraded road will provide long-term benefits by improving connectivity and giving them better access to essential services.
