KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, received a courtesy visit from a Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) delegation at the Astana Negeri here today.
The delegation, led by UPM Pro-Chancellor Tan Sri Peter Chin Fah Kui, aimed to extend an official invitation to Wan Junaidi to attend the Declaration Ceremony of UPM Sarawak, which will take place at Istana Alam Shah, Klang, Selangor, on June 30.
During the meeting, Wan Junaidi was also informed of Chin’s appointment as the new UPM Pro-Chancellor, effective October 18, 2024.
The appointment reflects UPM’s continued commitment to strengthening strategic collaborations with Sarawak’s leadership, particularly in the fields of higher education, research, and community development.
