KUCHING: The Urban Residence lit up with colour, glamour and Sarawakian pride on Wednesday during the Yacutha LuxResort Fashion Show.
The event celebrated creativity and supported homegrown fashion talents, marking a collaboration between Interhill Property and renowned local designer, Yacub Taha.
Guests began arriving at 5:30 pm, and were greeted with curated food service and a relaxed mingling session before the show commenced at 8:00 pm.
As night fell, Yacub unveiled the latest collection, Yacutha LuxResort, an exuberant expression of joy, femininity and personal growth.
The collection showcased radiant colours, flowing silhouettes, and a bold sense of feminine identity.
“Colours, dresses – really women. It’s so women,” said Yacub.
A standout moment of the evening was a special handbag collaboration with Yacub’s niece, Kesya Fatin, which added a deeply personal touch to the show.
“She’s business-minded, has three kids, takes care of the family, and still manages her own career and vision.
“I think she’s an inspiration for the younger generation, proving that you can build a business in Kuching and make a name for yourself here,” Yacub shared.
“We’re trying to show that the fashion industry in Kuching is capable of hosting as many shows as possible.
“If we have good sponsors and people who want to promote our labels, that’s more than enough.”
The fashion show is part of Interhill Property’s wider initiative to connect luxury living with culture and creativity.
