KUCHING: An empty house at Jalan Foochow was completely destroyed in a fire yesterday.
Padungan Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) spokesperson said the department received the call regarding the incident at 12.29pm.
Two teams from both Bomba Padungan and Tabuan Jaya with the total strength of two vehicles and 19 firemen led by PBK II Abu Bakar Hamdan (Padungan) and PBK II Mazrom @ Anderson Ampahom (Tabuan Jaya) were dispatched to the scene.
Fire fighters arrived at the location and doused the fire using the Bomba machinery and nearby fire hydrant. They managed to control the fire from spreading to the houses nearby, though the vacant house was completely burned.
There were no casualties or injuries reported during the incident.
