KUCHING: Veteran writer, columnist and journalist, M. Rajah, has expressed his intention to complete several unfinished manuscripts started by the late Datuk James Ritchie, continuing the legacy of one of Sarawak’s most respected journalists and authors.
Encouraged by fellow members of the media, Rajah said the works would serve not only as a tribute to Ritchie’s contributions to journalism and literature, but also as a continuation of his efforts to document Sarawak’s history and people.
Rajah shared this during a meeting with Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, at the official residence, Kasuma Resort, Petra Jaya today.
The meeting, held in a relaxed setting, aimed to continue discussions on the progress of the manuscripts, which Rajah is currently writing and finalising.
Wan Junaidi commended Rajah’s noble effort and expressed hope that the books would be completed by next year, describing them as not only meaningful reading material but also valuable historical records for future generations.
