KUCHING: Two village roads in Bintangor will have better access once the concrete road construction project is completed.
The roads involved are Jalan Siung Hwrong Sungai Tulai and Jalan Rumah Musa in the Jalan Chai Hing area.
This is made possible through the initiative of Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, under the Program Mesra Rakyat.
Huang, who is also the Repok Assemblyman, said such initiative aims to upgrade basic road infrastructure in rural areas, thereby improving the quality of life for local residents
“The implementation of this project is part of our ongoing commitment to ensure that basic facilities in rural areas continue to be enhanced and enjoyed by the community.
“The government is always concerned about the needs of the people, especially in rural areas.
“With better concrete roads, not only will it ease daily movement for residents, but it will also stimulate local economic growth, including agricultural activities,” he said in a statement today.
Huang, who is also Sarikei Member of Parliament, also emphasised that close cooperation between technical agencies and his team at the service centre is crucial to ensuring that every project implemented delivers positive impact and is completed on schedule.
Earlier, representatives from the Sarikei Parliamentary Service Centre, together with Sarikei Division Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Sarikei Division’s Assistant Engineer, Sahrian Abdullah, conducted a site visit to the project locations.
