KUCHING: Quick action by villagers prevented a bedroom fire from spreading to the rest of the house and an adjacent home at Kampung Kesindu Simunjan here yesterday (July 10).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a call at 9.55 pm and quickly dispatched a team to the scene.
By the time the firefighters arrived, the fire had destroyed the bedroom but the villagers had earlier put out the fire before it could spread to the adjacent house.
No casualties were reported.
