MIRI: The buzz around vivo’s new smartphone, the V60 Lite 5G filled Permaisuri Imperial City Mall recently as the brand officially opened its Experience and Service Centre in the city, drawing shoppers for a weekend of activities and promotions.
The grand opening drew a strong turnout with live performances, flash deals and giveaways.
The launch was officiated by Vivo Sarawak’s Sales Manager, Tan Zheng Ang, together with Permaisuri Imperial City Mall’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Karis Lim Sook Yen, and representatives from 123 Mobile.
A RM1 PowerBank flash sale for the first 50 customers who queued at 1:00 pm proved a crowd favourite, followed by a lucky draw with prizes including a vivo X90 and V40.
Visitors also enjoyed discounts of up to 50 per cent on selected smartphones, played several mini games and were offered complimentary coffee.
Located on the second floor of Permaisuri Imperial City Mall, the new outlet serves as retail space and service point – offering product trials and after-sales support for customers across northern Sarawak.
The latest Android smartphone, vivo V60 Lite 5G took centre stage during the event. It is equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor and AI Master Aura Light Portrait technology for sharper, more natural images in any light.
The phone also comes with Shield Glass protection, military-grade certification and five-star SGS drop-and-crush testing.
Pre-orders for the V60 Lite 5G are open from 18 October to 30 November 2025. Buyers will receive a gift bundle worth up to RM1,070, which includes a two-year warranty, screen and back-cover protection, multi-region coverage, the Holiday Vibes Gift Set, up to RM300 cash rebate and a zero-interest installment plan.
Between October 3 and November 30, customers can also opt for ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ promotions – 10 per cent off (capped at RM100) on purchases above RM500 with SPayLater, or RM100 off on spends over RM1,000 with Grab Pay Later using the code VIVOPL100.
The V60 Lite 5G is priced at RM1,199 for the 8GB + 256GB model and RM1,499 for the 12GB + 512GB version, and is now available at all vivo stores nationwide.
The celebration wrapped up with a live band performance as shoppers lingered around to test the new devices, marking a lively debut for vivo’s latest outlet in Miri.
