KUALA LUMPUR: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar is in the federal capital to attend the 271st Conference of Rulers at Istana Negara.
Wan Junaidi arrived at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Subang, at 3.10 pm yesterday together with Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi after departing from Sultan Azlan Shah Airport in Ipoh.
Upon arrival, Wan Junaidi and Fauziah were accompanied by Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and his wife Datin Sri Hajah Zuraini Abdul Jabbar.
They were warmly received by senior officers from the Office of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak and the Sarawak House Liaison Office in Kuala Lumpur.
Earlier, Wan Junaidi and Fauziah attended the naming and launching ceremony of the Royal Malaysian Navy’s third Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), which was named Sharif Mashor.
Wan Junaidi is scheduled to attend the 271st Conference of Rulers at Istana Negara tomorrow and the following day.
