KUCHING: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar is widely regarded as an authoritative figure with extensive knowledge, particularly in law and environmental matters.
Senator Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Anifah Aman described Wan Junaidi as such following a courtesy visit to him and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, at the Astana Negeri today (Feb 26).
Anifah is currently in Kuching for the official launch of the Energy Industries Council (EIC) Connect Energy Borneo 2025, held at the Hikmah Exchange Event Centre on Tuesday (Feb 25).
During the meeting, Wan Junaidi and Anifah discussed various national development issues, including efforts to combat climate change and enhance cooperation between the state and federal governments.
Anifah noted that Wan Junaidi had always provided him with insightful views and advice, even before his appointment as the Head of State of Sarawak.
Also present were Public Relations Secretary and Advisor to the Sabah Chief Minister, Datuk Harry Baking, Special Officer Cleophas John Gordon, and Invest Sabah Berhad Chief Executive Officer Dr Firdausi Suffian.
