PENANG: Sarawak Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi hosted a dinner for Penang Governor Tun Datuk Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Seri Utama Khadijah Mohd Nor.
The dinner, held on Thursday night (Dec 2) at the Marquee Tent of the Rasa Sayang Resort here, served as a meaningful symbol of the enduring bond of friendship between Sarawak and Penang.
It reflected the shared aspiration to foster closer ties and strengthen collaboration between the states, highlighting the spirit of unity and mutual respect that underpins inter-state relations.
Wan Junaidi expressed his gratitude to Ahmad Fuzi and Khadijah for the exceptional warmth and hospitality extended to him and the Sarawak delegation during their visit to Penang.
In his speech, senior private secretary Datuk Seri Syed Hamzah Syed Paie said the dinner marked a cherished moment of unity and friendship, strengthening the enduring bonds between Sarawak and Penang.
“May this evening become a beautiful memory that will remain etched in our hearts, and may the cordial ties between Sarawak and Penang continue to be preserved,” he said.
