Wan Junaidi receives courtesy visit from Sarawak CP

KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi have received a courtesy visit from newly appointed Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah, at the Astana Negeri Sarawak here today (Oct 27).

The courtesy visit marked the first official meeting between Wan Junaidi and Mohamad Zainal since the latter’s appointment as police commissioner on Sept 26.

During the meeting, Mohamad Zainal assured strategic cooperation between the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Sarawak and the state government to ensure that the safety, harmony, and well-being of the people of Sarawak continue to be preserved.

Meanwhile, Wan Junaidi stressed the importance of upholding the principles of integrity, professionalism, and justice among all members of the police force, while encouraging them to perform their duties with wisdom and humanity in serving the people.

“I am confident that under the leadership of Mohamad Zainal, PDRM Sarawak will continue to enhance its capability and effectiveness in addressing current security challenges, including cybercrime, drug abuse, and border security,” he said.

He also expressed his appreciation to all members of PDRM Sarawak personnel for their dedication and sacrifices in maintaining peace and order in the state.
