KUCHING: The Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar has received his Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC), an initiative dedicated to senior citizens in the state.
The card was handed over at his official residence in Petra Jaya by the officials of Astana Negeri Sarawak today, witnessed by his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.
Introduced by the Sarawak Government, the KGC is part of efforts to improve the wellbeing and welfare of citizens aged 60 and above.
The card provides access to various benefits, including discounts and rebates on goods and services offered by government-linked strategic partners.
It also symbolises the government’s appreciation for the contributions made by senior citizens to the state and society.
Wan Junaidi extended his gratitude to the Ministry of Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development for initiating the programme.
