KUALA LUMPUR: The Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi arrived safely at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 5 am yesterday after departing from Narita International Airport, Japan.
According to a statement, Wan Junaidi and Fauziah were accompanied by close family members, following the conclusion of a two-week official holiday in Japan.
Upon arrival, they were warmly received by senior officers from the Office of the Sarawak Governor, together with the Head of Corporate Affairs of Rumah Sarawak Kuala Lumpur Awang Supian Awang Daud.
Shortly after their arrival, Wan Junaidi and family members joined a prayer led by the Head of the Ceremonial and Protocol Section of the Office of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak Ahmad Zamri Shah Mohd Jeman as an expression of gratitude for a safe journey.
The statement added that the official holiday in Japan provided Wan Junaidi , Fauziah and their family members an opportunity to take a brief respite from their demanding official schedule throughout the year while spending quality time together.
The visit also allowed them to observe Japan’s rapid progress, particularly in the areas of culture and technology, which continued to serve as a source of inspiration for Sarawak’s ongoing development efforts.
