KUCHING : A West Malaysian, Ngan Boon Kong, 44, from Perak was found dead yesterday at about 1.35pm at a construction site at Jalan Kg, Asajaya.
According to the work site supervisor, it was Ngan’s first day at work as a welder. He said he did not know if Ngan had a health problem.
It was believed that Ngan collapsed and hurt his head when he fell backwards. He was resting in the security room when he was found dead by a colleague.
The case has been classified as sudden death. Ngan’s remains were brought to Sarawak General Hospital morgue for a post-mortem.
Samarahan police chief, DSP Lee Chong Chern confirmed the case.
