KUCHING: The Kuching Social Welfare Office is appealing to the public to help trace the biological mother of an eight-year-old boy currently under the care of a child protector.

The department in its statement said the boy had been left in the care of a woman named Nur Khadijah Joket Nuyong at a rented house in Taman Tunku, Miri back in 2022.

He was reportedly abandoned by his biological mother, identified as Ayu Marni, and has not been contacted by her since.
