SARIKEI: The Program ‘Outreach’: Santuni Komuniti (POSKOM), organised by the Sarawak Department of Social Welfare (JKM), underscores the Sarawak government’s deep concern for the welfare of its people at the grassroots level.
Tanjong Manis assemblyman Yusuf Abdul Wahab highlighted that this initiative aligns with the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030), aimed at propelling Sarawak’s development and socioeconomic progress.
“This initiative is part of our commitment to ensure inclusivity across all communities, providing opportunities for everyone to participate in social inclusion initiatives.
“We aspire to leave no marginalised groups behind, ensuring they have access to government-provided facilities, assistance, and social support systems through JKM.”

Yusuf was speaking at the Sarikei Level POSKOM inauguration ceremony at Kampung Selalang Hall yesterday.
He encouraged the community to utilise the services offered at the event, including aid applications, Kenyalang Gold Card applications, and registration for disabled individuals (OKU), emphasising the importance of accurate and timely information dissemination.
“The success of this programme relies on the cooperation and support of all stakeholders, including JKM clients, Community Leaders and Tribal Leaders (KMKK), strategic partner agencies, and the community.”
Yusuf urged all parties to continue supporting such programmes, ensuring that the government delivers the best services to all communities, regardless of demographics.
