SIBUTI: The establishment of the Wellness Hub Sibuti is a strategic step in strengthening the health and well-being of the local community, in line with the MADANI Government’s agenda, which emphasises disease prevention and the empowerment of the people.
Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni said health challenges today have become increasingly complex, with factors such as lack of physical activity, unbalanced diets, smoking habits and life stress contributing to the rise of diseases among the population.
“Therefore, an integrated approach that emphasises prevention is crucial to ensure the continued well-being of the people,” he said when speaking at the opening ceremony of the Wellness Hub Sibuti here recently.
The Wellness Hub Sibuti serves as a one-stop centre offering a range of community-based health services, including health screenings and risk assessments, healthy lifestyle consultations, weight management interventions, fitness activities, youth guidance, and comprehensive well-being support.
In this regard, Lukanisman, who is also Sibuti MP, expressed hope that the facility would serve as a catalyst for positive lifestyle changes among the community, while also encouraging active youth participation in health programmes.
