BAU: Four individuals, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that left a man injured here on Monday (May 12).
The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his arm and abdomen but managed to escape and sought treatment at the Sarawak General Hospital’s (SGH) emergency unit.
Bau police chief DSP Dr Daram Ruer confirmed the arrests, which were made shortly after the incident was reported.
“So far, four individuals have been taken into custody and a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) has been seized for further investigation.
“Further examination on the vehicle also revealed several gunshot marks,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
Members of the public with information regarding the incident, are urged to come forward and assist in the investigation.
The motive behind the shooting incident is still under investigation.
