MIRI: A woman in her 30s and her two young children escaped a fiery death when the car they were travelling in caught fire at Pin Fook Garden, Jalan Riam here at 2.04pm yesterday.
Prior to the incident, the woman and her children both primary school pupils were on their way home in the area when the car they were in suddenly burst into flames.
Eight firemen from Lopeng Fire station led by Jimmy Suhaili rushed to the scene following a distress call received at 2.04pm.
The fire was completely doused at 2.30pm.
The actual cause of the fire is not immediately known and an investigation is underway.
