BAU: A 28-year-old woman was arrested during an ‘Op Dadu’ raid at a convenience store in Senggi-Poak Land District, Tondong, on Wednesday (Feb 11).
Bau police chief Supt Mohd Haide A. Rahman said the suspect was arrested at about 3.45pm after police inspected the premises and suspected the woman of acting as an online gambling top-up agent.
“She was detained along with a Redmi smartphone and RM200 in cash believed to be linked to gambling activities,” he said.
Checks revealed the suspect is wanted in connection with a case under Section 420 of the Penal Code.
The case is being investigated under Section 4B(a) of the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953.
