SELANGAU: Another trailer crash along Jalan Pan Borneo Sibu-Selangau left a woman seriously injured while a man and a child escaped with minor injuries today (Aug 20).
Passers-by who witnessed the accident quickly came to the victims’ aid, helping them out of the wrecked vehicle before the arrival of first responders.
All three were rushed to the hospital in a Civil Defence Force (APM) ambulance. The identities and extent of their injuries were not immediately known.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Selangau station were deployed to the site following an emergency call at 12.14 pm.
No rescue operation was required as the victims had already been assisted by members of the public.
The team only carried out monitoring work to ensure the area was safe for other motorists.
