MIRI: A woman cheated death after she lost control of the car she was driving and crashed into a road barrier at Miri-Pujut flyover here around 2.30pm last Sunday.
A source said the accident was believed to have occurred when the victim suddenly lost control of the car she was driving and skidded before it rammed into the metal road barrier.
“Fortunately the impact was not intense, otherwise, the car might have overturned,” the source said. The source added that the accident also caused the car to be badly damaged causing an oil spill.
“The woman driver was fortunate to escape serious injury,” he said. A team of firefighters and rescue workers later came to help clean up the oil spill.
