BAU: A local woman was killed after the motorcycle she was riding, skidded and crashed into a road divider along KM8, Jalan Bau-Lundu last night (Sept 2).
The accident occurred at around 7 pm when the victim, who was riding a KTM RC 200 from Kampung Tembawang Sauh towards Bau, is believed to have lost control of her vehicle before crashing.
Paramedics confirmed she died at the scene and her body was later taken to Bau Hospital for a post-mortem.
Bau police chief Supt Mohd Haide A. Rahman confirmed that the accident is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
He also urged witnesses or anyone with information on the accident to come forward to assist with investigation by contacting the nearest police station.
In light of this, all road users are reminded to drive carefully, ensure their vehicles are in good condition, and practise tolerance on the road for the safety of all.
