KUCHING: A 63-year-old woman managed to escape to safety after her house at Lorong 20, Taman Desa Wira went up in flames on Monday (June 14).
Batu Lintang fire chief Mohamad Raffy Saibi said his men rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 11 am.
They arrived to find the victim’s house and car burning.
The Batu Lintang team, assisted by firemen from Padungan, managed to put out the fire at 11.47 am.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred are still under investigation.
