MIRI: A homeowner at Lorong 3 Spring, Jalan Riam here had a slithery visitor upon her return from work on Thursday evening.
Fearing the metre-long snake to be a cobra, she made an emergency call to Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) seeking for their assistance to capture the reptile.
The 47 year-old woman reportedly found the unwanted visitor in her living room around 6.40pm.
According to Miri APM officer, Captain (PA) Usman Harto, four of his personnel were deployed to the scene upon responding to the alert call.
“They arrived at 7pm and managed to capture the snake in 10 minutes,” he said.
