SERIAN: A woman sustained a fractured left leg while her driver escaped unscathed after their pickup truck skidded and crashed along Jalan Pan Borneo Simunjan-Serian yesterday (Sept 15).
The accident happened at around 5.30pm near Kampung Ensebang Padang Billion when the Mitsubishi Triton went out of control and plunged into a drain.
Both victims, a 63-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman, had to be assisted out of the vehicle by firefighters from Serian station, who were dispatched to the scene, about 30km away.
Paramedics provided initial treatment before transporting the victims to the hospital for further medical care.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the operation at 6.33pm.
