SIBU: A 57-year-old woman escaped with minor injuries after the car she was in veered into a ditch at Jalan Alan here this morning.
According to Andy Alie, the Zone 4 chief of the Fire and Rescue Department, his department received a distress call at about 1.28 am.
“By the time the Fire and Rescue Department arrived at the scene, the victim had been rescued by the public,” he said in a statement today.
The victim complained of pain in the ribs and chest.
“She then received treatment from the Emergency Medical Response Service (EMRS) personnel before being transported to Sibu Hospital,” he said.
