PADAWAN: A woman was killed in a hit-and-run incident along Jalan Puncak Borneo here today after she was struck by a car while entering her vehicle parked by the roadside.
The incident happened at around 7.20am when the 37-year-old victim had just approached her car when a silver Perodua, believed to have come from behind, rammed into her before fleeing the scene.
The victim, believed to be a kuih seller, was pronounced dead at the scene due to the impact.
Padawan police chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division is actively tracing the driver involved.
He called on members of the public who may have witnessed the incident to assist with investigations.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
