SIBURAN: A local woman sustained a fractured right arm in an accident along Jalan Kampung Kuari, Batu 16 early this morning (Oct 20).
The crash happened around midnight when a Perodua Aruz carrying two individuals swerved out of control and overturned in the middle of the road.
Fortunately, the 48-year-old driver with an arm injury was pulled out of the vehicle by members of the public, while her 38-year-old male passenger managed to exit on his own without any injuries.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Siburan station were dispatched to the scene, about 12km away, following a distress call.
Upon arrival, the team administered preliminary treatment for the injured woman before both victims were taken to Serian Hospital for medical examination.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the operation at 12.40 am.
