LUBOK ANTU: A woman driver sustained light injuries after her car skidded and crashed by the roadside near Sedarat yesterday.

A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the accident happened at 6.57am and they deployed firemen from Betong station to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found that the 33-year-old victim could not get out of her car as she was trapped in her seat.

Rescue works were then carried out to assist the victim out of her car.

The lady driver, who sustained light injuries, was taken to Sri Aman hospital for further treatment.

The team returned to their station after wrapping up the operation at 7.45am.
