BAU: A local woman cheated death after the car she was driving, plunged into a ravine along Jalan Krokong near Kampung Belimbin this morning.
The accident, which happened at around 9.20 am, left the 43-year-old driver with a shoulder injury.
She was pulled out of the Perodua Bezza by members of the public before first responders arrived.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Bau station were dispatched to the scene, about 7 km away, following a distress call.
Upon arrival, the team assisted in bringing the victim up from the ravine and provided initial treatment.
She was later sent to the hospital in an emergency medical rescue services (EMRS) ambulance.
Once the situation was safe, the team ended the operation at 9.37 am.
