MIRI: An elderly woman sustained injuries on her neck after her own son in his 20s choked her.
The incident reported happened on Friday (Jan 4) in their house at Pujut 8 here around 10pm.
The victim accompanied by her eldest daughter lodged a police report at Lutong police station on the incident the same night.
According to a source prior to the incident the suspect had returned home intoxicated.
The source added that the suspect got furious after his mother saw him grabbed a bottle of petrol.
The boy then went to the kitchen and grabbed a machete (parang) and pointed it at his mother before he choked her.
A few minutes later the boy left the house after threatening his mother.
After the incident, the woman went to the house of her eldest daughter in Permyjaya near here to relate her ordeal before they went to Lutong police station to lodge a report.
