MIRI: A young man had to endure more than 30 minutes of pain after his right pinky finger was impaled by a nail on a rack while working on site in Kuala Baram last night (Tuesday).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they received an emergency call at 7:32 pm and dispatched firefighters from Lutong station to the scene.
Upon arrival, they confirmed the incident and used a cutter to sever the section of rack that was pinning the 19-year-old’s pinky finger.
Following that, the victim was rushed to Miri Hospital for further medical attention.
The victim was believed to have endured the injury for more than 30 minutes before firefighters completed the rescue operation at 8:07 pm.
