Works Ministry programme seeks to enhance cooperation

KUCHING: The Ministry of Works launched the Malaysia Strategic Public Works Collaboration Programme 2025 here Wednesday.

It is being in collaboration with the Public Works Department (PWD) Malaysia, PWD Sarawak, PWD Sabah, and the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).

The programme officiated by Minister of Works Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi is being held from Feb 11-14.

“The programme serves as a strategic platform to strengthen cooperation among agencies to accelerate the nation’s infrastructure development in a more efficient, sustainable, and innovative manner.

A total of 140 participants from various agencies are attending the programme, which focuses on discussions regarding project progress, management direction, construction innovation, and the sharing of technology and modern work methods.

Throughout the four-day programme, a series of presentations and strategic discussions will take place, including an Executive Talk by the Ministry Secretary-General, along with presentations by PWD Malaysia, PWD Sarawak, PWD Sabah, CIDB, CREaTE, and Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP).

“With the active participation of industry leaders and experts, this programme is expected to be a catalyst for a paradigm shift in the management and development of national infrastructure,” it added.
