KUCHING: The second edition of the SPMSTAR Workshop, held here on Sept 20-21, saw SPM candidates getting the heads-up on motivation and exam strategies.
It brought together students from across the region for academic sessions, motivational talks, and interactive activities aimed at boosting exam readiness, confidence and resilience.
The programme was organised through a collaboration between the Persatuan Alumni Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar UiTM, the Sarawak State Education Department, NEXGEN Petra Jaya, the Child Council MBKS, and MBKS.
It was supported and funded by Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, and Member of Parliament for Petra Jaya.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng, commended the students for their determination and highlighted the importance of resilience in academic success.
“The SPMSTAR Workshop not only imparts knowledge but also instills confidence and discipline,”
“It is encouraging to see how this initiative empowers our students to believe in their potential and strive for excellence,” he said.
The first edition of the SPMSTAR Workshop had already proven successful, with many past participants achieving excellent results in the SPM examination.
Organisers noted that the workshop’s success underscores the value of partnerships between educational institutions, government agencies, and the community in uplifting students.
