Workshop hand dies of exploding tyre

KUCHING: A man was killed by an exploding tyre he was inflating at Jalan Cinle, Landeh, Padawan. Sources said that 30-year-old Lim Zhun Hui, a workshop employee, was working on a truck when the freak accident happened at around 5pm yesterday. It is understood that the rim sprung out following the explosion and struck the man in the head. The victim was also flung off and died in a pool of blood. The victim suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead by paramedics called to the scene. His remains were brought to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for post-mortem.
