According to Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department and Kakus assemblyman Datuk Seri John Sikie Tayai, there are many low-lying areas along Batang Anap and Kakus River that have been flooded, causing residents to lose communication.

Among the affected areas are longhouses in Sungai Entajum, Sungai Sangan, and Sungai Muput.

“The flood this time was very devastating, with some areas still flooded on January 29 and last Tuesday.
