MIRI: A man who attempted to break into a house at Tudan near here around 2.30 pm yesterday was apprehended by the neighbours.
Prior to the incident, the suspect in his 30s who is believed to be a local was seen trying to climb over the gate of the house.
According to a source, the house owner was not at home during the incident.
The alert neighbours then immediately went to the house to apprehend the suspect.
They also alerted the Pujut and Permyjaya Resident Committees for assistance.
The suspect was later taken to Miri Central Police Station in a police patrol car for further questioning.
