XIAOMI has raised the bar once again with the launch of the Pad 7S Pro, a sleek, high-performance tablet that doubles as a productivity powerhouse.
Unveiled in China, this latest addition to the Pad 7 series is not only a step up in terms of hardware and design – it also marks a significant milestone for the company.
The Pad 7S Pro is Xiaomi’s first tablet powered by its self-developed XRing O1 chipset, a move that signals the brand’s deeper push into custom silicon.
Premium display and audio experience
At just 5.8mm thick and weighing 576g, the Pad 7S Pro is impressively slim and lightweight for its size.
It features a stunning 12.5-inch display with a crisp 3200×2136 resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, all housed in a practical 3:2 aspect ratio.
The screen reaches up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.
To round off the immersive experience, Xiaomi has included a six-speaker system with Dolby Atmos support, delivering rich, spatial audio – whether you’re streaming films, playing games or taking video calls.
Inside, the Pad 7S Pro debuts the XRing O1 chipset – the same processor found in the China-exclusive Xiaomi 15S Pro. Developed in-house and built using TSMC’s second-generation 3nm N3E process, the chip is designed for serious performance and energy efficiency.
The 10-core CPU architecture includes:
2x Cortex-X925 cores at 3.9GHz
4x Cortex-A725 cores at 3.4GHz
2x Cortex-A725 cores at 1.9GHz
2x Cortex-A520 cores at 1.8GHz
This is backed by a 16-core GPU for enhanced graphics performance and a 6-core NPU optimised for AI tasks – ideal for everything from multitasking to creative work.
The 50MP rear camera ensures high-quality document scanning and casual photography, while the 32MP front camera is well-suited for video calls and online meetings.
Powering it all is a robust 10,610mAh battery, which supports 120W fast charging via USB-C. It can also perform reverse wired charging at 7.5W, letting you top up smaller devices when needed.
Built for productivity and everyday convenience
One of the tablet’s biggest selling points is its potential as a laptop alternative. It supports an optional keyboard accessory with an adjustable hinge, making it ideal for working on the go.
You can also mirror the screen to a Windows PC or Mac with ultra-low 41ms latency and seamlessly share a keyboard and mouse between the tablet and computer – a feature sure to appeal to professionals.
The tablet also comes preloaded with WPS Office software with PC-level functionality, allowing users to edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations without needing a separate device.
The Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro runs on HyperOS 2, Xiaomi’s own user interface built atop Android 15.
The system is designed to offer a fluid, intuitive experience with deep integration of Xiaomi’s ecosystem services.
