KUCHING: Pertiwi Progresif will host a youth-focused engagement titled “Social Media for Social Impact with Pocket of Pink”, featuring youth advocate Ain Husniza.
The event is scheduled for Dec 20 at 1pm at Bing! Coffee, Green Heights, here.
“Young people today are skilled and confident in using social media to express their ideas,” said Pertiwi Progresif through a press release on Monday (Dec 15).
The organisation said its role is to share the right approach and highlight the responsibility that comes with using digital platforms for positive impact.
The session aims to empower Sarawakian youths with practical insights on using social media for advocacy, awareness and meaningful community engagement.
Founder of Pocket of Pink, Ain Husniza, is the community-driven platform known for addressing youth empowerment, school safety and gender-based issues.
She will share her personal journey in building Pocket of Pink and how creative, values-driven content can shape national conversations.
“The programme also highlights how youth voices, when guided by purpose and responsibility, can influence public discourse and inspire positive social change.
“Participants will gain exposure to real examples of youth-led initiatives that have successfully created social impact through social media platforms.”
An interactive dialogue session will allow attendees to engage directly with Ain Husniza and discuss challenges, strategies and digital advocacy experiences.
“The event also offers opportunities for networking among youths who share a strong interest in advocacy, awareness campaigns and community-driven initiatives.”
Seats are limited, and early registration is encouraged. Interested participants may register using the QR code provided on the official event poster.
